Wheres the Samsung A930 ??
I know! It's driving me crazy! Release is SUPPOSED to be Q1 2006, so there should be pics, info and a forum already, what gives???????

I think I know. They have boatloads of 950's and this smokes the 950 and directly replaces it.
If they put this out , they have to give the 950's away for free..

i think your right theatermax, that makes sense I havent seen many a950's on the street and everyone I know has the Razr. I would of gotten it too but my friends say they have probs with it. Im waiting for the a930 just wish they would give more of a spec date on it, I remmeber before the Razr came out they were already giving pre orders on the website but nothing on this phone......im 3 mos in with my new every two I might have to get a a950........ 😡

yeah the razr sucks, returned mine in less than 24 hrs...hey phoeneex, your NE2 does not run out, so you dont have to rush. I was just in a corporate store today and they said they would honor my NE2 until I found a phone I liked...I dont think the 6 month expiration is true...just my two cents...later

Cool thanks for the info man. Yeah I def saw the Razr and was not impressed. I would def go for the Nokia but after having the first slider by Kyocera from Verizon im against sliders even though im a big Nokia fan. I cant wait till they bring out the A930, but it looks like they brought out the new PN series and theatermax was right, they lowered the price of the a950 and included a free bluetooth headset. Now my g/f is looking at the a950. 😕

Looks like the 930 and the 6265 Nokia are possibly the next two out..
The Sams really has me excited.. It's small , the key pad is really nice. The 950 keypad was aweful. I had to go back to my 670 so I could make calls. The 950 keypad is horrid.
The 930 is awesome, I played with it for a while at CES and liked it alot, but we never know until it hits and we uncover all the dirt 🙂
Let's stay in this and try and get some real dates

i think the samsung a900 aka the blade is the closest in size and feel to the a930...cant wait, but now I have a dilemma...the nokia or the sammy..I didnt know about that nokia until this week and i like the design a lot!

In checking out the phone at CES, here is what I can tell you..
It's slightly smaller than the 950. It's ergonomics are whats make it so nice. It's thicker at the top and tapers down towards the mouth piece.
The keypad was great and smokes the 950 as we know the 950 is for SHI&#^$%T as far as the keypad goes.
The screen is the same as the 950 and the outside screen is just interetsing, not great, just very usable and probably used no battery at all since it's OLED.
I really like the overall feel in your hand.

People might still buy the 950, it is a different color, and it has a normal 2nd display as to the vertical CID display on the 930...but yeah, my guess is they will try to run down the 950 inventory.

is it made out of a metallic substance like the a900 is or more of a plastic-y case?

Samsung needs to make a few changes to the software and one cosmetic feature. It could be released later but this will be the earliest. I hope this helps. I asked my brother.....who works for Samsung and his friend that works in the department that deals with these issues informed my brother about the time line.

Hopefully it won't have all the bugs in it by the time I upgrade. Maybe I'll wait until about the time my contract runs out before I make a final decision to buy this phone. My earliest upgrade date is July 1.

Well, then again, I just looked again and on the 8100 the date says March 15th and that one wasn't released until July! Still a good observation and would be funny it it proved to be the release date!

I know how you feel waiting for this, im in the same boat. I think if its nothing new is out by the end of the month im probably gonna drop them or just upgrade to a 950 or 8100.

I am having a hard time seeing whats so great about the phone.. Maybe I am just used to a bigger screen on the outside of the phone and being able to read messages.. but to me, the outside screen seems like a big negative.
The black is a nice color for it.. and I do like the looks of the keypad.. but the front screen.. 😕
