I personally like the UI - it could be better, but who cares. I carry the LGVX8100 and I think it's a great phone. I've never had any issues with it and it's loaded with features. I use bluetooth and Vcast.

I would define a lame phone as one that has no features and poor call quality.

I'd say poor reception = lame phone. 'Cuz then "that s**t's broke!". ☹️

Personally I believe it's the lack of black phones that makes everyone think VZW phones are teh gay. 10 years ago nearly every phone was black, and when the first silver/gray ones came out, those were the phones to have. Now almost every phone is silver/gray, and black is the new black again. For the most part, people don't give a damn what features their phone has as long as it can make and receive calls. But they DO want something that they perceive looks good. Hence the millions of shi*ty RAZR phones out there. Apple Computer is just about the best at making pretty products. VZW could learn from them in regards to what phones to ask for from the manufacturers.

Everyone has a different perception of what lame and what cool means. When I throw the word lame around its only in regards to the appearance of the phone, not the service behind it. A couple examples of a cool phones for ME, would be the Blade and the Samsung T809. I think verizons lineup has improved significantly, but to ME they mostly still have lame/boring silver flip phones and as you mentioned the standard ui is not helping the appeal factor for some. It's just human nature to want what you can't have 😁
