LG 8100 / BitPim
Ok I sold my sister an 8100 last week. She's having problems getting real ring tones to assign to individual callers. She can DL midi's but she hates those. She's bells and whistles kind of person. I've asked a few of my associates who have had the phone as well as tried to look it up in the LG forums. I keep reading something about BitPim. What is that? How does it work? Will it work for her? She's on the Verizon network. I don't use VZW, I just sell it so I don't know the ins and outs of it as well as most of you probably do.
I'm sure I could figure something out if I were playing with the phone but I'm always trying to diagnose her issues over the phone so it's more difficult for me.

BitPim lets your phone link up with your computer with the aid of a data cable. You can take your phonebook, wallpapers, photo, videos, ringers, playlist and a bunch of other information. I use it all the time I never have to buy ringers and can keep them MP3. It takes most of the limits off your phone with still a couple of things you cant do. It took me sometime to get my phone up with it but once I got it to work I cant get enough

Actually SHE works at an indirect in a SMALL town. My clientele doesn't want to know anything about the 'bells and whistles' each phone has to offer. They just want a phone with GREAT reception. Since none of them live near a town.

FYI I was begged to take this job, I didn't want to but I did it for friends. I'm glad I did. I don't regret it at all. I am putting in my two week notice tonight though. Due to decisions I've made in my personal life.
