Voice mail woes and questions.
I have a couple of questions regarding the voice mail. I contacted tech support, but they were unable to help; however, they were poilte about it. Nonetheless, whom should I speak to or what should I ask for to address the following:

Usually the return call I get at 3:30 AM. How do I stop this...it's crazy! Tech support said they can't stop this. There must be some way to turn off message notification.
2. After my recorded message, the recorded "Verizon lady" says for more options press 1 or to page this person...and ...

You can press the * key to avoid the "Verizon lady" and skip directly to the message prompt.
Don't know about callbacks, but I once had a message I sent returned to my voicemail box.

unfortunately, tech support was right about the return message. but you were right about it being about 30 days. the system is purged in the middle of the night and because you are not leaving a message on someone's phone but in a mailbox on a server, it will be purged and is considered a courtesy to tell the sender it was undeliverable. that courtesy can not be disabled. as far as the time, although unfortunate, it can not be changed. the good news is that it is not very often that you will leave a message for someone and thay don't listen to it. if this happens to you a lot, then stop leaving messages for someone who doesn't listen to them.
