hey everybody,

I've been having billing problems with Verizon. They have recently charged me long distance charges for calls to Guam (my home) which is still part of the United States. I've been trying to talk to someone that can do something about it, but so far I've just been given the ring around. I got the "sorry a change was made late last year" then I asked "why wasn't I notified" and they were like "well, this wasn't a policy change, it was merely a mistake that was 'corrected'."

So now, I get charged $0.20/min for calls to Guam. I talked to Sprint, and they cover calls to Guam under their free long distance. That's really a big plus in my eyes. Real service without leaving anybody out no matter how small they think the problem ...

Any idea how to contest the charges besides get...

you talk as if it is a stipulation in your contract that says that you will have free long distance to Guam...if thats the case then yeah, it can't be changed...but if not then it wasn't like they changed how many peak minutes you had in didn't tell you causing you to go 100's of minutes over and get a buttload of overage charges
