VZW Employees Job Help
Hey guys I am currently doing sales for an agent. I am currently a student at the same time majoring in business. Now I'm looking to make a change since my company just isn't doing things to my liking. I was looking for some info about the job; tips on locking up a spot. I understand that it takes a lot more work for you guys and I was just trying to get the low down. Anything relevant to the question would be great. Thank VZW employees.

While I work in a call center, a key skill seems to be telling customers to call in for any sort of credits or account changes that don't pay you any money. If a customer doesn't want to get a feature make up other things it will give them for free until they agree to add it. Focus on selling and not maintaining current customers.

Hey I understand that you guys in cust service are going to get some of those reps refering customers to call you, but please do not generalize all sales rep like that. Myself I have an incredibly low customer call in rate, as does my entire store. We are normally in the 50% range or even lower. Very good considering the goal is to be at 100%. So far this month I am around 20%. Just my rant.

😁 verizon is a great company to work with!!! i've been with the company for a little bit over a year and i've been very happy since, great pay for a college student, plus they pay for my school and books(as long as your major is related to the business) . . . if you get hooked up with a really cool manager like mine, schedule won't be a problem, pros or working retail is really flexible hours, cons working most friday and saturday nights but that can be arranged too . . . their interview process is a bit difficult but its not too crazy . . . good luck!!!

To get the job, you will want to be very comfortable with the STAR's (Situation/Task - Action - Resolution) style of interviewing. If you want more information, see the link at the bottom of the post.
In short, you will be asked about a specific situation that allows Verizon interviewers to see your ability to exhibit specific behaviors such as building customer loyalty.
Your answer should give a specific situation such as "One day, I had a customer walk in and wanted a refund........" (sitiation). Then, "So I looked at her recipt and history and determined that she was still eligible" (action) Then, "She received her refund and thanksed me for the great service and walked out an appreciative customer" (resolution).
