Question for a VZW Tech.
Lately I've been noticing people posting threads about the new software release (.03) for the Razr. So as a phone guru I go down to the VZW store and asked if they could update my phone software, after receiving a dirty look I was told with an attitude that VZW has not issued a new update for the RAZR's and the most recent software is .02. I then left the store feeling like a complete a@@ and a bit confused... why is everyone talking about a software update that doesn't exist. After a couple of days I let it go figuring that they must have issued the software release in only certain markets. Then one night a friend of mine saw my RAZR and she absolutely loved it... well as a loyal VZW customer I told her to go down to the store (the sam...

I honestly don't know the answer to that question except that possible (?) the version has been put on the phones but has yet to be released to the techs to upgrade existing software. I'm hoping someone else here will have a better answer than that but I don't want the only answers you get while looking for help to be from trolls. 😉

I have the razr and have the .03 update, you got steamed rolled bro...If possible go to another store because those guys sound like noobs. Be nice about, which by reading your post sounds like you are. If you encounter another attitude just ask for the manager. I'm always extremely friendly and courteous, on the same note I don't put up with any sh**.

Thanks Gunny.. that's the main reason why I want the upgrade (to get rid of the lag). But as always I try to be nice until I'm lied to... but that is with anybody. I'll try a different store.

The latest software has been installed on the phones, however, the software upgrade patch is not yet available in all areas, we just recieved word in tuesday in my location that the update is complete... not sure if our techs have it yet, i currently have a RAZR with the .02 software. The tech's didn't lie to you or just blow you off, they just don't have it yet.
