Looking for phone with good calendar feature...
Hi there - new to the forums here, have been with Verizon (AirTouch) for darn near a decade now!
I'm in the market for a new phone, and really want to move my calendar from my desk to my phone, but I don't necessarily need a full-fledged PDA I guess. Just a way to easily add things to a calendar, and view it. Any good phones to recommend that work with Verizon? About the only other feature I really want/need is speakerphone.

I'm just a regular joe customer, but i beleive that only smart phones have sync capability where you can transfer info from a desktop pc to the phone.
If your not syncing from a pc, then I would recomend the audiovox 8900. i have had no probs w/ it--the speakerphone sound gets broken up when the volume is up all the way but you can fix the problem if you turn the volume down a little

I don't need to sync with my PC - my calendar is a piece of paper sitting on my desk 🙂

That is my question - any phones to reccommend? For instance - the LG VX4500 claims to have a calendar function, but it's all but useless at actually being a calendar, you know? So I'm wondering if the gurus on this forum know of any good calendar phones other than the PDA ones (which obviously are great at that) I would rather not drop $400+ on a phone just to get this feature.

Please go read the thread about the Verison's terrible phone selection.
Unless you go up to the $500 price point then Verizon doesn't offer a phone that will let you input calendar data. I also don't believe any of their phones will sync with outlook's calendar.
their phone selection is horrible unless you are a teenybopper looking to take really cheesy picts of your friends or want to play really bad video games on your phone!!!
