New every 2?
Hey... I'm going in to Verizon in a couple of days to renew my contract, and they'll probably set me straight on this, but I was wondering... how does the $100 toward a new phone work?
I want to get the new LGVX700 they have out this week and it's 399.99 retail, 299.99 with 1yr contract, or 249.99 with 2yr contract.
Does that mean that I get the phone for 149.99 if I renew with a 2 yr contract?
Just making sure there's no strange loopholes or rules.... thanks

You are correct. To get the new every two, you have to renew the contract for two years and you have to be on a monthly plan that is 34.99/month or higher. Keep in mind that it is up to $100.00 it may vary based on the mail-in rebate that the phone has. Basically you have to use the mail-in rebate and you get the difference of the new every two. Meaning that if you are buying a 130.00 phone that has a mail in $50.00 rebate you would get $80.000 off of the phone at the store and than mail in the rebate and get the phone for free after rebate.

Ok, but from what I understand, the LG VX7000 is 299.99 with 2yr contract, 70.00 rebate, and I'd get 100 off... so I'd walk out of the store with the phone for 199.99 plus the 70.00 rebate.
I guess also, if anyone out there works for Verizon and knows anything about corporate discounts... I'm probably going to order the phone through verizon over the phone so that I also get my corporate discount. I hope that the corporate discount can be added onto all the other discounts, or else I'll just get it in the store and use the corporate code for discounting only my plan :-)

Can't use New Ev2 over the phone as far as I know. It's usually an "in store" offer only. My info is in the North East though...
