I have them both and I like the V325 way better, but if you need Bluetooth and TransFlash the e815 is a great choice. I like the V325 better because

Mono front display (easy to read time, signal, battery)
Black rubberized around edges looks and feels good.
GPS Navigator
Firm side buttons slim chance of accidentally being pressed
Great key pad
The phone is nice size overall
Sturdy build
Great ear piece volume
Good vibrate
Bunch of other stuff
Try them both

Good Luck 🙂

Gunny,
I have the SCH-A650 and like it's size, as I'm really active outdoors. (MTB, horses, road bikes, etc.) I'm planning on the 325 when I'm up for the ne2. Question: do you have enough earpiece volume when outside in the wind, or driving with normal (75mph) road noise (windows closed) etc?(While using a headset). The 650 has an unadvertised 'auto level control' that gives more audio than available normally. My wife has the E815 which is cool, but bluetooth isn't ready for prime time if your an outdoors person and use your phone a lot.
(Wind proofing like with the SCALA 500 is good but not at 25mph, especially when cycling the TRI course in Kona and yapping to keep from getting bored!!)
Sidebar- CDMA doesn't have the 'gurgling' that ...

I'm active outdoors too, just last night I was dirt bike riding and was shocked that I could call and hear my wife without having to shut my bike off. (1988 Honda CR500 with busted muffler) I dont use a wired headset but made a quick call I didn't loose any call volume. This phone has the new ui so you can't force this phone to analog. The phone is built well and very durable. I haven't liked a phone this much in a long time,I'm very happy with this phone. Give it try hope it works out for you. Any other question ask. 🙂

Actually yes!
I see that Verizon has listed a high capacity battery, and it does't mention an additional backplate, so I'm thinking it may fit in the same space, but I don't know. I have to go check out the actual phone at a store again, and see how much space there is in the battery compartment. (they have a zip tie over it, so I'll have to get them to get one out of stock.) I don't want the phone any bigger.

yes the extended battery Requires the extra capacity battery door. The normal battery does have an exceptionally good life though 🙂

Mousie , Why leaving Cingular ?

I have been with VZW for like 10 years and I am thinking about going the other way.

I am so fed up with the UI and the VZW nonsense, I was praying Cingular can maintain a call and give me good reception and great phones. The VZW phones are not a great selection..

I never drop calls and this is important but I am thinking about it.

Tell me your experience

Why do people keep complaining about Verizon phones. I have looked at Verizon and Cingulars phones. There is not much Difference. Verizon has alot of Phones that are comparible to Cingulars, and a few more.

Well Verizon cripples thier bluetooth phones so that people can't download stuff to thier phone for free. Greedy Verizon wants you to pay a lot of money for thier downloads.

Well that still doesn't mean they don't have good phones. Every carrier has there ways of making money. I suspect that Verizon cripples the bluetooth so you can't use it as a modem. All of the phones with crippled bluetooth are EVDO phones. The Nokia 6356 is not crippled but it is not EVDO either. Verizon has EVDO to make money not to give it away free. People forget wireless is a business not just a service.

Go for the E815 because it gets great service when you dont require analog, plus it's going to be end of life in about 4 months. Get it while you can.

It depends on your needs.

the E815 is more of your standard high teir phone. with a 1.3 mega pixel camera, crispcolor display, Vcast Video capable, Memory card slot, MP3 player, and blue tooth.

the V325 on the other hand is unique. it has a camera and a crisp color display. however it is not Vcast capable, it does not have bluetooth, and it does not have a memory card slot or mp3 player. what it has instead is the new VZ Navigator which works like GPS to give you turn by turn directions points of interest etc.

VZ Navigator is only available on the V325 and is 2.99 for one days use or 9.99 a month.

Dont do it. you will not be any happier with Cingular and when you call their customer service you will geat treated like a piece of **** that is wasting their time.

ya Verizon has a standardized UI that can be boring, ya they dont have a ton of all black phones that blow dry your hair. but they are improving their phone lineup alot the past 4 months alone and they continue to come out with more cooler and cooler phones.

not only that but the main reason people have a cell phone, to make voice calls, is where Verizon really shines. they advertise the nations most reliable network. that may be just words to you untill you drive around town and use a cingular phone. I live in columbus ohio a good sized metro area and the service blows.
