Oh really, Kingfrog.
The real story there is one of migration. No US carrier has switched from CDMA to GSM. Notice they said NorthAmerica and the Carribean? Most US GSM customers are the result of conversions from TDMA. So what if Cingular, ATTWS and T-Mobile are short sighted.
If you knew the technical on how the two technologies work you would see that not only is CDMA vastly superior in every way but that GSM is to CDMA what analog is to GSM.

GSM is a time division multiple access network over a 200 khz channel. It allocates spectrum in fixed amounts whether it is being used or not. Channels must alternate between towers. Because adjacent towers may not use any common channels it divides the amount of channels available by the amoun...
