Nextel,

If most companies like Sprint/Nextel Cingular etc, count their MVNO's as part of their customer base, what would one think if Verizon counted theirs. Far as I know Vzw does not count any. Apm'd or Tracfone (Not that it would count as much), but wouldn't that make them closer to taking the #1 spot if not... take it.

Please enlighten me.

lol.. sorry i didnt even see this;

yes, companies like sprint/nextel and cingular count their mvnos, prepaid and wholesale to their customer base. verizon, actually ads some of their wholesale, and prepaid but not amp'd or tracfone.

verizon wireless could add their mvnos, but i think it is so miniscule that it isnt worth mentioning. could they? yes.

would they take it closer to number 1 spot? well yea, but not by much.

Does anyone know what the customer base is for "these" MVNO's? like Boost and AMP'd. I'm sure no one knows how many users go with each carrier under tracfone, Hell i bet Tracfone doesnt even know.

If anyone does please share.

they are 100% owned by sprint/nextel, but they use off of nextel's iden network. if a boost mobile customer was to roam onto nextel partner's network they are counted as an MVNO, but on the nextel legacy network, they arent.

tracfone= 6.1 million

That would have an effect if added into verizon's total subscrber base. 51.3 + 6.1 = 57.4 the #1 spot, unless i missunderstood something.

No it wouldn't, because not all of Tracfone's 6.1 million users are on Verizon's network. Tracfone is a mixture of TDMA, CDMA, and GSM depending on the location that you may purchase their phones.
