if i remember correctly it is may 2nd 2006, they sometimes becuase of vodafone, report their prelim reports but without churn, or arpu. (they just state their subscriber numbers)

you can see it either on here, becuase i will be posting it, or you can go to verizon's website and go to their investor relations page.

May 2nd? Thats forever away. I wanna know how quickly Verizon is gonna catch Cingular. My expectations say end of 3rd Q. With at least a good 600k lead from the start. Lets hope for those low Churn rates. Oh, and IMO, Verizon PP is not bad, as long as you in an area like me where EVERYONE has Verizon. 😎

yea, well these guys take forever to report for some reason...

i guess a main reason is to tell investors during mid 2nd quarter to just say the progress becuase when they report it is about the future and not so much the past.

right now;

1. cingular= 54.1 million
2. verizon= 51.3 million.

verizon is behind by 2.8 million.

(since this isnt about the other carriers i wont add them becuase it is about cingular and verizon)

in 2005, verizon got 7.5 million and cingular got 5.06 million net new subscribers which means that verizon outperformed them by 2.44 million. if they continue at this pace verizon wont pass them in 2006, but will easily pass them in 2007.

Hey, if you can have your opinion, then I can have mine....the whole debate over these numbers seems to be getting a little outta hand. This happens every quarter, if you know anything about the industry, then you should no that quarter numbers are not released the day after the end of the quarter...you just have to be patient.

Hey, Im in sales, I know how the drive for the "number" works. I'm not trying tell you to not talk about it, just be patient..the quarter's not even over yet!

Nextel, I have a lot of respect for you and knowledge about the industry, so if my post offended you, I'm sorry. I guess I was just venting a little bit.

no no, you werent offending me, i was just stating i like to hear what people have to say about each carrier.. it is very fun for me and i am sure others like it also... we can analyze and discuss things such as the SWOT.

everyone knows that they dont release them right after the quarter is up (which is today), they usually report it 1-1 1/2 months after..

since i have ownership in all of these companies, i just want to see what others say.

Why the ha ha? Verizon's already cut Cing's lead in half, and its only been a year since the big ATT/Cing merger.

Best guess, they'll pass Cing by the end of the year. 😉
