Moved to Non-VZW Market. Problems??

I recently moved to a non-VZW market (Far Eastern North Carolina). The entire area is served by US Cellular, and nobody else. Our VZW phones work just fine at home on the USC network, but I don't want to lose them because of the benefits (I travel lower 48 3-4 days a week, enjoy VCast on the road, IN-minutes, EV-D, etc.)

My question is, if I change my billing address to my new home, which VZW does not sell into, would I get flack from them, or have any issues with my contract? We were so scared of this we still have not changed the mailing address for the account just in case.

if its an issue, stay with the same address and use paperless billing. this way the new people at your old address wont be getting your verizon mail.

This would not be a good idea, as paperless billing justs stops the month billing. But any other official communications would still be sent to the old address...calling plan change confirmation lettrs , promo offers, other mailings etc.

No problem if you change the address. You just can't use most of the enhanced features while at home , but could still enjoy them when traveling in VZW markets like you said.

🙂 Thanks for the reply!

I have no advanced features at home since I am on the USC network...which is fine, rarely use the phone there other than to take business calls. But the advanced features while on the road in VZW areas is what I love.

I just didn't want to run into a problem during renewal, offers, etc...just because some dumbified marketing computer sees I don't live in one of their markets.

Thanks!

As long as you dont change your phone number to a local number(which if it is a no coverage area, we wont have any available) you will be fine with just changing your address. Like one of the post said earlier: You wont be able to use some enhanced features but will while you are traveling.. 🙂

Your in luck... today is the first day that Verizon can service that area. All the cities are online with the option to get local numbers with the exception of Morehead City because for some reason they forgot to load them. The stores are still under minor construction but are open.
