VX 8300
The 'latest news' page here says that the LG VX 8300 is supposed to come out by June. My NE2 expires sometime in May. I was thinking about the 8100, but don't want to get it if it's going to be replaced soon. Any firmer reports of when it's coming out? Has anyone had any luck having the NE2 period extended beyond 6 months (particularly if you're waitging on a soon-to-be released phone)?

i don't know what region your out of, but I have never once told someone they couldn't get their ne2, even after 6 months. I'm in the Northeast, I don't know how much more strict other areas are, but you put your 2 years in, you can get your discount...

yeah I was running into the same dilemma and I called the vzn corporate store and they said that NE2 does not expire.

I live in the Northeast as well. I called Verizon customer service and they were the ones who told me about the NE2 restrictions at 6 mos. I haven't gone to a retailer yet.

I have been told the NE2 expires after 6 months. Now Im damn sure no one will loose the sale (agent or corp store) if the customer asks for the NE2 but is out of the 6 month time frame.
I usually tell people ahead of time, or if they are currently out of it, I tell them it has expired and that I can still work on the price and honor it if I can. Never had anyone complain yet. Just be honest, and you can never loose.
