I just reviewed all the front page articles on Phonescoop dating back to March 1st. There is no mention of this news! This is not the same old “Verizon wants to buy Vodaphone’s stake in VZW but Vodaphone doesn’t want to sell”. This is new: Verizon part of Worldwide consortium to buy and break apart Vodaphone. READ THE ARTICLE BEFORE COMMENTING ON IT!!!!!

I think it would not. If Verizon gets, more or less, a monopoly on their entire Company, then can can put a price on their shares, and by raising shares, make their company more profitable (i.e. more powerful) thus making them able to keep their high prices, and lack of data packages that other carriers have, and still stay in the lead (or close 2nd, about to take lead I should say). Pretty much things will be just as they are now, except if there was even an inkling of a thought of free nights starting at 7 p.m. or Unlimited Data packages, they aren't a thought any more. 😕

Thats my personal opinion mind you based on what I know of "monopolies" so eh.
