Question, and some new videos on the 8300 and OTHER new phones for Verizon
Has there ever been a phone made by Verizon Wireless that could not do text messaging? Me and some co-workers had a disagreement on this, and I was informed that there has never been a cell phone offered by Verizon Wireless that could not text message. I want to prove him wrong cuz I am sure there is.
Oh, and I was kidding about the new phones, just figured it would catch your attention 😁
Thanx for any one who can give me any model names of phones that do not have text messaging on them, and sorry for tricking you 😢

Well, let's see. I don't think the Qualcomm qcp-860 had it, nor the Audiovox CDM4000. The next-to-last Startac, the 7860, didn't have it originally, although on it and the 7868 it was offered on a firmware update. That's all I can think of right now (these phones were sold in 2000).

also, the kyocera 2345 (sprint), lg tp 5200 (sprint), motorola v60v (sprint), were the only ones i can find in the phonescoop archives.

The samsung n300 could only recieve text but couldn't send. I also beileve the Audiovox 9000 could only recieve text.

Those actually were sold under the airtouch name.

They were also sold under Verizon Wireless (est. 4/4/2000) throughout the year 2000. At least they were in the former BAM markets.
