Alright, so this is a strange problem.
So I got my V3c two months ago, and it has been an awesome phone until this weekend. All of a sudden I have this problem where 30 seconds to three minutes into a phone call, the person on the other end can't hear me talking. Then every call I make after that one, nobody can hear me talk. About an hour later, I can finally make another call where someone can hear me talk, but again, for some reason, they can't hear me, I can only hear them. In three days, I have probably only been able to speak for 10 minutes on my phone which is absurd. So I take it to my Verizon Service Provider, and they take it in, look at it, tell me to come back in an hour and they will tell me what the matter is. I ret...

i would ask them to get you a new phone, seeing as how the problem is still happening. don't let them look at it again and give it back, get a new phone.

What totally sucks in this situation and any situation where you have a clear defect and are over your 15 days is that the "new" phone they will give you is a refurbished one! I know Verizon is nice enought to swap out the phone under the 1 year manuf. warranty instead of you having to send your phone to the manuf., wait for it to be repaired, etc. etc. etc. But what I hate is when I buy a phone FULL RETAIL, then have problems maybe a month or so later and have to settle for a refurb. when the problem is clearly not my fault! I'm so anal about my phones that I don't want one that is used even if it looks to be in perfect condition. Just the not knowing the true condition is enough for me to buy another new one at full retail if I experie...

i'm with you on that, but not all people are willing to do that.

You can still send the phone back to Motorola. You want their number? Goto www.motorola.com and look up for support. VZW is just offering a service where you don't have to be without the phone at all. However, if you have a used phone that is aGPS enabled, then ESN change to the phone and send the Razr back to Moto.

Also, my mom tried calling me, and she said it either went straight to voicemail, or went to dead air. (it has been on since I left the store, outside of the two times I turned it off then on again) Some of my other friends say it just rings and goes to voicemail, but I never get a missed call blip on my phone.
This is worse than I thought, and to make matters worse, I haven't even received my mail in rebate check yet.

sucks. return it make them give you a warranty replacment.

It is all BS.
Their solution to everything is... power of your phone, wait for 30sec and power back on.
Such crap! 👿

The advice given is good advice but power cycling doesn't fix every issue. I've worked in cust service for a cell phone company for 5yrs and trust me when I say pwr cycling does fix about 90% of most issues. The reason he gave u for pwr cycling is correct as well, it does reset ur device in the system to get the best connection possible. I've never heard or told anyone to keep their phone off when not in use, that is what standby is for. I would suggest troubleshoot with another device to see if it has the same probem and if not replace the defective phone

I had the exact same problem on my older LG6000, but only when I was using a headset (wired.) I exchanged headsets, updated software, exchanged phones, etc. Kept having the same problem and no one at VZ seemed to have a clue. About the time I was about to give up and get a completely different type of phone, someone on the LG forum told me to turn off "auto volume" and how to do so. That was the end of the problem for me. I'm not familiar with your phone, but you might see if it has that feature, and if so, disable it. Seems to hear the ambient noise or something, and then ends up turing off your microphone.

I think that you were not directed apporpriately. Some of what the rep said was true but in the wrong context. Your phone is like a computer and should be power cycled periodically. Like every three days tops and for only a minute or two. The phone does have internal RAM style memory and that needs to be refreshed once in a while. However, that's it. Power cycling all the time is not a good answer...The phone has an issue.
The other things you mentione, like the calls going to VM and no missed call blip (and I'd guess that VM's come pretty delayed). These are all part of the same problem...The (not so) fancy industry term is called registration. Essentially, the registration is your phone shaking hands with the tower and saying 'here I am...
