ok, so Consumer reports AND JD Powers both state that Verizon is far more superiour that Cingular.... yet Cingular and the "independent researchers" say that Cingular is best!!!! what is the real and true answer?! i also was told that by Q3 Verizon will have more costumers than Cingular. 🙂

they just said that their network had the fewest dropped calls...they did not say that they had the best network in all aspects. By the way, how annoying are those commericials getting? I'm glad I have DVR now!

Advertisements in markets like NYC and the Bay Area make the claim to best network, not only fewest dropped calls.

you wanna know the funny thing tho...my roommate has, well had, a cingular phone that in town with good signal dropped over 5 calls in 2 days just this past weekend...now he got verizon and the razor and cant believe the clarity difference...so cingular can take that slogan and shove it...

Verizon is the Best and somewhere noone really knows where cingular is in someway somehow maybe someday in a galaxy far far away is improving slightly somewhere but we still aren't really sure where or how. 🙂

who you going to beleive, consumer reports,jd powers or some other crazy independant research company. Cingular didn't count calls that didn't connect only ones that connected. All of these comparison tests can be pushed one way or another, test diferent areas at different times and get different answers. Verizon is catching them, after everyones incredible promos(free incoming calls, nights at 7pm, rollover) and yet quarter after quarter verizon is killing everyone and te only thing they offer is quality. everyone else is just trying to follow suite to try to keep up.

I left Cingular because their service is crap. Verizon has the best service everywhere, period! I pay a lot of money for my service and I appreciate that Verizon takes quality seriously enough that I have perfect service everywhere.

seriously! tell my y my friend was talking to me on a road where there was full bars on her cingular phone and i was driving behind her with my vx9800 and tell me why she sou--nd-e-d like th-----s and i was like the bars dont matter, the reception still sucked. in my house my verizon gets 1 bar at the most with the vx9800 however my calls are cristal clear! mny friends who have cingular come to my house and the only place they can use their phone is in the master bath. its odd lol. 🤣

I prefer T-Mobile. I like them a lot, and they work for me. But they are not yet on the same level as Cingular and Verizon Wireless...

actually i would much rather be with tmobile than cingular. though their coverage map is spotty, their calls apparently come in clearer than cingular (per jd powers)
