the 950 is garbage, period! if you want the vcast music then get an 8100, otherwise the 9800 is a very nice phone. i know both the lg models allow you to transfer music, pix and flix with the mini sd card. You can use vcast music on the 8100 or just set it back to read mp3 and transfer mp3's straight to card.

The a950 is a great phone! CNET and PCMAG are right on. I'd say the 950 or 8100 would be your best choice. The 9800 is a good phone but VERY bulky.

mary have you ever held a 9800? its hardly bulky.

to answer your question tho, the 9800 can not currently use the vcast music store over the air however you can use it on your computer and transfer songs to your phone via the mem card.

Yes, I've held a 9800 and used it for a short time and it IS bulky. The VCAST MUSIC service will be available on the 9800 very soon.

how's the call quality on this phone. Im planning on using a bluetooth headset for this phone. Im liking this phone over the samsung a950 because Im a haeavy texter and the large internal screan on the 9800 should be easier to view v-cast videos. If this phone doesnt work out ill switch over to the samsung a950 so its a win win situiatation. Since both these phones are music phones do I need a usb and a card reader to transfer pic/videos from my pc to the phone.

If you use your Bluetooth headset a lot, then definately the 950. The commands are shorter and to the point.

well the cnet and pcmag people don't work in the realistic environment for true phone review. My point is actual customer and market research over a broad range. on the stat sheet and in your hand the 950 is a great phone, however I myself working behind the counter have heard countless complaints about the reception this phone gives. I have had way to many complaints about weak signal to advise anyone on getting it. Just one point, had a brother and sister didn't want the same phone, sis got the 950( cool it is red) bro got the 8100. Well about a week later sis had switched to an 8100 becasue her brother's phone worked at their house and the 950 didn't. I am kinda clsoe to a few fringe area and I am telling you that internal antenna sucks w...
