I will be going to verizon from sprint and I was wondering if amps analog roaming is really important or if I should just get a dual band digital phone instead? Thanks for your input.

Depends a lot on where you live. As far as I know, little if any EVDO phones have analog at all so that may not even be an option. Are you in a rural area or in a city area?

EVDO phones are all digital. by nature they wouldn't want an analog EVDO phone. Also, give a couple years and analog won't even be an option (my opinion based upon the fact that mandates for analog are gone after '07). A good tri-mode phone would be the Moto V325, or Nokia 6256. A good all digital phone is the Moto E815. I think if you purchase either of those three you would be happy.

Verizons Americas Nationals Choice Plans don't have roaming charges. Dunno if this helps at all, but chances are if Sprint can get coverage VZW can also. Same similar network.
