VX8100 vs. E815
Tell me what you guys think as far as features, coverage, looks, or whatever.
I'd like to know which one you think is better.
...
i have the 8100 and love it, i think that it looks better and it has the vcast music feature, the speakers seem to be much better also, jd power also rated lg as the best manufacturer tied with sanyo
...
BOth very similar. They are both good phones and I have had 0 problems with each as a sales rep for VZW. It comes down to which one you think looks/feels better for you.
Differences are:
-Moto doesn't have default UI.
-Moto screen little larger.
-Moto has pull out antenna.
-Moto has larger keys.
-LG-Has Vcast Music
-LG-Stero speakers on the side
-LG-default vzw UI (I could Kare less, I dont mind the VZW Interface)

e815 better reception, no commie ui, very customizable, hacks on hofo that enable obex,
8100 ugly blue face, iffy reception
...
reception is good on the 8100, but excellant on the E815. Both are good quality builds. My wife has the 8100 and switched to the Razr...within a week she was back to her 8100 and won't leave it. I have the Motorola V710 and love it...I could have any phone but I will not give up my V710. I get reception where alot of people don't. I also use the Office tool kit for the National Access. I know the E815 has a work around to make it do it too...but for all purposes I don't think it is worth switching yet. Besides, EVDO isn't available in my area yet...so other then a little bit nicer voice command set-up, I see no reason to switch.
Reception, voice command user interface, larger screen/buttons, and better sound quality = Motorola E8...

i did the same thing as your wife, i onty got a razr bc it was free, tried it for a week and won't go back, i'm about to give it away
...
Thanks for your input.
I have the VX8100 and I love mine. I've sold a lot more 8100s than E815s just for the simple fact I tell customers about the charging port issues on Motorola phones.
Both phones look nice but in the long run the VX8100 wins hands down.
Thanks again.
