Best VZ phone for reception in my area

HillySeattle

Apr 17, 2006, 2:42 PM
I live in NE Seattle, on a hilly slope leading down to the lake. My neighbors and I have bad cell reception, bad radio reception, and we have to use cable for TV because broadcast reception is bad and Dishes don't work in the hills and trees.

Now that my 2-year plan with Cingular has expired, I'm trying Verizon. The Verizon salesman who signed me up told me that the LG VX8100 phone he sold me is the best one for reception so that's the one to use for my area. I have since figure out that a lot of other things he told me are not true, so I'm wondering about what he said re the phone and am looking for other opinions.

Is there a better phone for good reception in my area?
Is there a phone with as good of reception but without the cam...

I live in the Seattle area and have used verizon service for close to nine years. I like LG phones but the fact is that damn stub antenna does not work that well and reception suffers. I would go with the Motorola V325 it's an outstanding phone it has a nice solid pull up antenna, very durable, easy to read outside display, and sound clarity is fabulous. You will not be disappointed.

I would go with the moto v325 for what you posted, you dont care about bluetooth, vcast, or cameras. the v325 gets great reception, its durable, and its got a pretty good screen/keyboard.

You want good reception, I'd go with the Motorola E815, Moto v325, or Nokia 6256.

All have very good reception, definitely better than the LG 8100.
