I went to two verizon stores not even a mile from each other and both times I played with the 9800 and both times the phones had no service. I really want this phone but the reception at both locations were poor should i be worried and hesitant to buy this phone?

I have not heard one complaint with the 9800 from anyone, so no i wouldnt be worried.

keep in mind you have the 15 day worry free guarantee so go ahead and try it out if it doesnt work return it and get a moto e815, if it does work tho you got a sweet phone.

At my house i have 1 bar with my 9800 and downstairs i have zero bars in front of the 1X sign.. my calls are still cristal clear. all my friends with other verizon phones (e815, audiovox 9900, vx8100) have two to three bars showing and have cristal clear calls. Even today i was at a restaurant where my friend had the samsung a850 with full bars and i had only one. i think that the signal indicator is a little off to say the least since all my calls are still cristal clear!

Out of all the conversations i've had with customers, i've yet to hear a single complaint about the lg9800. It's a great phone, try it out for a week or two. 😎
