Verizon and T-Mobile did very well, US Cellular and Alltel did well in their home markets, Sprint was mid-pack, and Cingular finished last in almost every region. π³
Oh well, those orange "We got the best network" Cingular billboards are still kinda cool-lookin' π
They must not be reputable.
Regardless, they do seem to know what's what. Much better than Telephia, which is tryin' to tell me that Cingular is the "best network in the SF Bay Area", when all the peeps I know there tell me the same thing: that Cing is pretty lame there.
A very weak argument for anyone.
And Tex was probably being sarcastic. π
I mean, if Cingular really was the 'best network' in the SF Bay Area, those poor peeps would b screwed π³

Hmm...judging from the complete post...:
"I live in the SF Bay Area my whole life and ive had cingular in the past and now i have Verizon.... i have NEVER found a spot in the bay where cingular had more bars than Cingular. Most everyone who has cingular tells me that they hate it. Cingular has been renamed "Suck-ular" and "Single-bar" by some."
...its probably safe to assume he meant to say the followin':

Roffle. No, the issue with Telephia is that its CEO and CFO were very recently employed with Cingular. If you think that's the same as a couple or three front-line grunts working for Verizon for a couple years before getting hired by JD Power, I can't help you.
Oh-h-h-h, I did not know that part of it. Does explain a lot, though.
But nice to see my point was validated by the fanboys here.

C'mon Tex... you're pretty much the biggest Cingular fanboy of 'em all.
Don't run from it... embrace it. π

No, he is not! π‘ I AM! π
Funny thing is, fanboyism about carriers is s'posed to be bad, but fanboyism about sports teams is s'posed to be good. Double standard? Who knows. π
You are literate, even with you deciding to switch between ebonics and english.
But you can read, right?
That has to be the most ignorant statement I have ever seen you make.
texaswireless said:
You're kidding, right?
No, not even a little bit. π
And street does not equal ebonics. Yet you call me ignorant? Seriously. π
texaswireless said:
OK, so WHAT exactly is the difference oh wise one?
Ebonics is a made-up language, created by some educators who meant well, but who were kinda dumb at the same time.
Street is just dialect, and actually, there are many flavas of 'street', depending where you are.
There are some surface similarities maybe, but saying that ebonics and street are the same thing is like saying Esperanto and English are the same. One's a manufactured language, one is real, and the content isn't even the same.
Capiche? π

Yeah, peeps still bust that in the hood. π
Coverage area doesn't seem to be a consideration in these surveys, or am I missing something?
"This map is not a guarantee of coverage and may contain areas with no service."
Thats the coverage locator page on vzw. Sides, its only accurate to, accoring to this map, four cities of space.
(BTW-The map shows Coverage for all of Bellevue and Redmond, but the Crossroads area in Bellevue is a known bad spot for coverage. Along with some areas in Redmond. At least, that what the dude from VZW said to me when I asked him.)
I went to a Radioshack and asked them to check the MTi for Cingular. I think I got much more than a hopeful thumbs up, they showed me Cingulars 3 tower...

I also thumbs up for Cingular's MTi - "address = coverage and nnearby towers" - in the stores. Hopefully Cingy puts this on their site soon. I heard they encourage their sales reps to use it before signing anyone up, just so the customer knows for sure if they have service at home or wherever they use it most.

Well, T-Mo underestimates their coverage. Verizon might be over-estimating their coverage. Why else would their coverage maps have this pretty little gem:

T-Mobile seems to have a very high customer satisfaction rating, but their coverage area is pretty weak here in Michigan, which forced me to go to Verizon.

You an' me both. T-mobile does really great on the customer satisfaction surveys, but they also have a very high churn ('customers leaving') rate.
So how does that work??? :
T-Mobile Customer: WOW! T-Mobile is great!
Customer Service Person: We're glad you're so pleased with us.
T-M Customer: So I'm leaving you.
CS Person: WHAT?!?
T-M Cust: Yep, I'm so satisified I'm bailing ASAP. C-ya!
CS Person: *faints*
