I am in a bind. When I went to a local verizon store, I looked at some dual-band phone that are all digital. They dealer asked me if I traveled to rural place and I answered yes. He said that they Tri-band phone would benefit me more with coverage. I am always travling from KY-TN-GA-FL-Alabama. My question is of anyone relies on an analog signal when traveling though these states? I have checked the Verizon Personal Coverage checker on there website, but it says not to rely on these maps. I already know about eastern KY being mostly analog. Your info is greatly needed!!!!

Tri band will be the best bet, since it has analog. Just remember that if you do that and get a data pack..data does not work on the Analog service.

I wonder when, or if they plan on converting those analog towers to digital, or do what the Customer Service rep told me they did to the analog towers across the water from West Seattle. She told me they were being shut down. No other details or info. Shut down for upgrade to digital, or just simply gone for good??

analog is so rare now adays i would be suprised if you get enough use on it to worry, but its nice knowing you have that option if you need it.
