Ok I'm just curious what carrier you guys think has the fastest data transfer speeds? I have T-Mobile now and I always thought they were pretty fast...I text a lot...but now I don't think they are so much. How bout internet (WAP like T-Zones or T-Mobile web sorta things) speeds. Sprint and Verizon keep talking bout their new this or that 3G EV-DO stuff....so what do you think?

*shrugs* VCast and Verizon Web seems really slow compared to Sprint and Cingular data.

hey matt, ignore the guy above me hes a moron as far as the cingular comment, Cingulars high speed network at this time is EDGE technology which is faster then dialup but it is not broadband.

with sprint's powervision and Verizon wireless's broadband access you get DSL broadband type speeds, with average speeds of 400-700 kbs and burst up to 2mbps, and its expanding/getting faster all the time.

Perhaps he was speaking of Cingular's HSDPA data speeds? Because...you know...HSDPA is broadband.

(LMAO) Hey matt, ignore the guy above me, he ignores the fact that Cingular has UMTS/WCDMA and if are in one of these 16 market that have UMTS you can get braodband speeds (if not faster) Also, if you're not in one of these 16 markets, don't worry, network integration is full speed ahead and more than likely soon there'll be UMTS in your market.
