Cellbrite machine question

We just got a couple of cellbrite UME-24 machines, I have noticed that they seem extremely glitchy and I just wanted to know if anybody else has had the same experiences.

When I am transfering numbers about 75% of the time I get error messages saying that either the source phone or the destination phone cannot be read/write, I have to unplug the cables and replug them in and power the phones off and on several times then sometimes they will work, I tried our other machine and it does the same thing, I am using the right cables and choosing the right phones.

Anybody have any pointers or similar experiences with this thing?

Thanks

Even though you just got the machines - you may want to call Cellebrite and have them send you the latest software update. We have been using a UME-24 for many months and really haven't had many problems at all.

Will that accomplish the same thing as downloading the upadtes off the computer?

Yes, it should. I would still call them and they will email you the latest software update - just in case there is a problem with the one you currently have on your computer. Maybe they can also make another recommendation when you call them.

Mine has the most problems with the e815's. make sure they are plugged in ALL the way... some, especially Motorola's, have a tendency to only be partially in. I've also found that if I hold the phone so the cord is bent a little it puts more pressure on it... It may be my imagination but I don't have problems 75% of the time. Good luck!

I have found that with alot of them I have to push the cord in and hold it in. If I don't it doesn't seem to make correct contact. But if I follow this procedure it works 99 percent of the time. The only phone that doesn't seem to work whatsoever is the SE-47 (garbage phone) slider. Every once in awhile I will have a K404/414 that won't work either (headphone jack).
