During a promotional time they will be billed standard Sms rates after that they will be billed at.25 per message. I'm not sure if they will be included in txt plans or not

Q about this: If I send a text to a friend on a landline.... will she be able to reply? 😕 I'm not too aware of this new feature. I thought it was Sprint that had this feature. 😕

Yes she will be able to reply through a voice recording. I believe Sprint offers it now however, vzw is releasing it on 6/5/06

yes she can reply by either 10 preset templates or a voice response.
i still have my sprint dealer plan (due to having to agree to a contract for 2 years).
the voice they use to do it makes it all the fun.

So after the novelty of the first few messages, why would a carrier want to invest...however many thousands of dollars into the technology?

i dont know. i do know sprint doesnt really market it that much. they've had it since last november and phonescoop (just for an example) just told us about it a month ago.
