vzw charging for caller id?

I just switched from Sprint to VZW, and was looking at "my account" under "add/remove features" and found in the remove column an option to remove caller ID and it says that caller ID costs $1.95. Is this for real???? If so, I cannot believe caller ID is not included in the plan (I have signed up for the $39.99 450 minute plan).

No, you don't have to worry about that. On the initial confirmation letter, it lists your included features, but some features have a built in charge (because there are some older plans that do not include some features). Your plan (as the majority do) does include this feature, so your plan will discount the features to no charge so you will not actually be billed. You may also see this with voicemail sometimes if anyone else had this same question.
