ok, hearing mixed thoughts on the samsung 930, i have personally played with the 8300, can't read text on outside display, still version 1.1 bluetooth, still has bulging antenna to poke my g spot while in my pocket, the flash ui is cool, but the camera still sucks, took a picture right next to my 8100, didn't seem any better ๐Ÿ˜• I want the nokia!!!! it is ready, was ready months ago anyone know the hold up?

Probably the same reason that the 6256i never made it to the corporate stores.

The conflict between Nokia and VZW on Bluetooth.

but these phones are 1x not evdo, so verizon isn't woried about people using them for dial up, they released the other nokia in the indirect channel, they could at leaste do the same for this. I have seen the new nokia slider 6305 or whatever. No bluetooth, verizon ui, and they change the nokia charging port to a serial port instead of that nokia plug being used for decades, not to mention it is huge, about the same size as the kx2 with jumbo antenna on it.

yeah i have heard that no stnadernized ui, charging port, lack of evdo and bluetooth issues have kept this shelfed, but it is only 1x so who cares about bluetooth, can't use evdo for dial up, they let the other nokia slide through indirect channels they could easily do the same for this.

yea. but vzw is penny pinching again. expect it late if at all. i think they will push the 8300 as their flagship phone and drop this nokia after the lg's their luster

i know. but i've noticed a trend with vzw. they are pusing these phone's feature's (v-cast, music) so much that the key feature flagships it.

i bet bluetooth stereo will be all over the 8300 commercials and ads.

which brings me to a question.....why the heck is the 8300 still bluetooth 1.1? i thought they needed atleast 1.2 to keep up to the speed of music. even if it does work in a decent manner it will have the phone running hot and the battery dead quickly.

yeah i have no clue whose idea it was to keep the 8300 v1.1, they should be flogged. As far as the nokia goes i don't care if verizon ever carries it i just want them to approve it so i can get it through any channel, nokia or indirect.
