Can We Agree?
Sometimes when I read the posts here I get a wierd flashback of walking into the front room when my son was watching MTV while Beavis and Butt-Head were on.
Kind of makes me want to go and get some nachos.
Contrary to many opinions Cingular's last name is not Sucks. They are people like we are trying to make a living in this wild world of wireless.
I am very opinionated about whether GSM or CDMA is better but I can't honestly say GSM cannot complete a call.
I try to back up my opinions with facts and hopefully after posting this I won't become a hypocrite.
For all of us in sales shame on us. We should know that an objection is nothing more than a request for more information and then give it to them with the utmost of respect.
No substance just insults. There are times that I wonder why I even read them. I cruise the Cingular, T-Mobile forum and the ATTWS forum and I don't see anything like that there- And I'm glad I don't. I don't post in theose forums because I don't sell those carrier's service, only Verizon and Sprint so I would only be stirring up dust and that would not be good. It is the same as going to some guy's house and saying his wife is ugly and a tramp.
I don't need to cause that type of hostility.

Yes and thank you. It just gets old reading the same old posts over and over again.

No I didn't. It is just that there is not as much posting by non-Cingular reps and there is more posting about how to overcome phone issues, etc.
True. But bickering and arguing is what makes VZW #1.
😛
but phonescoop isn't the U.N. of the wireless industry.
There are maybe 50 frequent members on this site.
You sound like a very intelligent person who cares about his company. A rare person who like Cain and Pimp take pride in their company. You guys have "joined" your companies rather than just putting in your time. Actually this is commendable.
I know I'm going to get the bashing about "having the brand on the behind" but I'm talking about loyalty which nobody will say is a character flaw.

My friend, I am not pointing a finger at you. I've read your posts, most of them are very informed and well thought out. Sometimes I learn from you as I do from many out there.

I don't need to damage my competition to beat them. I beat them by being as professioanl as I know how to be. Chances are they won't be because of the revolving door in retail sales. If you want to learn about this meet with your direct business to business people or your major account managers because they work in an entirely different level with different expectations from the customer base.
It's amazing what you can learn for the price of an espresso and a half hour.
I will admit that I take a shot at VZW every once in a while, but for the most part I come in here for two reasons: to gather info, and to share it. I have come to respect many of you, as it is rare in today's sell-sell-sell wireless world to find true professionals that actually care about the business and the customer.
On a serious note to 85 percent... I don't dislike you, just your approach. I hope you take what I'm about to say as sage advice from a guy with more than 20 years in sales, and one heck of a long time (too long?) in wireless: Loyalty is for the boss, product knowledge and the ability to give the customer...
