does anyone know if the 8300 will still have an option for mp3's or will verizon make it to only play wma files like they did or tried with the 8100??

I am pretty sure it will only have the WMA option since it is a VCAST Music Phone. VZW had to do that so they could get more artists to agree with putting their songs on their. WMA is more secure than MP3.

yea it might be more secure but it takes more to put them on the phone...plus then you have to give in and buy the SPECIAL data cable that verizon wants to make you pay for so they make even more money that way...thats why they are so dumb...hopefully like even the flashed 8100's you can still enable or disable mp3's...hopefully if not i might not buy it and just get the 8100

Actually i have a 8100 with the newest VCAST Music Software. You can get a card reader and A card and save WMA files to the my music folder and they will play on your phone.
