thats not true, the cheapest "unlimited" plan is 10$ and its not fully unlimited. heres the 4 currently offered plans:

5$ - 250 MSG TXT PIX and FLIX included.
10$ Unlimted IN Messaging TXT Pix and Flix included, 500 out of network messages
15$ UNlimited IN / 1000 out of network messages
20% Unlimited IN / 2500 messages.

Unlimited does not exist unless you are an employee of VZW

In 2004 around mid summer there was a promo for 100% unlimited text for $5. This was back when the plans were America's Choice 1 not the current version 2... This only allowed for unlimited text though not pictures. If someone still has this they can keep it until they change their price plan. Currently there is no way to add any picture allotment to this plan since all the current plans are combined.

I don't know how long MidnightDT has been affiliated with Verizon but he is incorrect here...

actually that sounds about right for time period and price and everything, the only thing i think is mixed up is... You only got to keep it thought dec 0f 04 or 05 something like that limited time offer and you only got to keep it for a limited time.

I just talked to someone the other day that was on a 1500 min share plan with 3 lines all with $5 unlimited text. They didn't want to upgrade to 2100 minutes because they knew the text promo would fall off.

There were some text doubling promos where you got 500 text for $5 instead of 250 and it was supposed to end on 12-31-05 but it was changed to not expire unless there was a plan change. I'm guessing that's what you are thinking of.
