The V710 forum makes my day

Hey if you guys aren't checking in on that forum every day you are all missing out on a good laugh. I have never seen anything so pathetic in my whole life. Maybe I'm just evil, or maybe its because another dealer I know started taking pre-orders for it in APRIL! He was all convinced that it would be out within a month. I also get a smug sense of self-satisfaction because two months ago I posted a couple of times saying that it wouldn't be out until at least August or maybe never. I'd say either one of those scenarios is proving to be a possibility. Does anybody else get as much perverse enjoyment out of this as I do?
Muchdrama likes talking about the V710.. Care to comment?

I admit I'm gettin a tiny bit of hilarity out of watchin the folks there scramblin around for something that's probably gonna turn out to have as many or more complaints than the v600.
I like bluetooth and all, but if Moto doesn't stop crammin everything AND the kitchen sink into their phones that precious market share they've stolen from Nokia is gonna drop right out of their grubby little hands.
God forbid Nextel should go out of business or Moto'll lose their shirts.
disturbed1 said:Well, they might want to get better at CDMA phones since Nextel's going CDMA.
so does the v600...and it's crap!

Where did you hear that?

Yeah, It's too bad! They have themselves all wrapped up in a release date. It was liken to the Verizon Release Date for the Audiovox CDM-9900. I hope they get their phone any decade now. đ˛
I'm gonna go post a random release date and claim it's official now...

Well I hope that if you do that you'll keep your job....hehehe
Then, as I was continously discussing my unhappy Bluetoothless and coverage-less existence with Verizon (no signal whatsoever on the stretch of Mission Blvd in Fremont, CA along my usual route to work, and no signal at my house in 94536 area code), I learned about the corporate discount we get with Cingular, and for the last week I have been busy checking out the new (July 2004) VERY GOOD LOOKING Cingular GSM coverage maps, talking to other people who already have Cingular, taking a Cingular loaner phone for a day and talking to Cingular reps discussing the best deal they could offer on Sony Ericsson T637.
I still keep an eye on V710, but I am not that interested anymore...

Either way, I don't expect much from Verizon these days.
Cheers.
That makes me sad.
Finding out one of my shoelaces is untied makes me sad too.

I'm looking at VZW and Cingular coverage maps right in front of me. Compared to VZW's map, you think the Cingular map is "very good looking"? is it because you like the color of their brochures? đ
Besides, I expect Verizon implementation of Bluetooth to be very crippled as compared to the GSM handset implementations.

No, that is because Cingular has coverage in an area that is important to me and where Verizon has no coverage. Check out Verizon signal (or the lack of) in Niles district in Fremont, California (streets: Terra Cotta circle, Linda drive, Niles blvd).
With Verizon I had to wait until I get on the freeway on the way to work before I could make my first call. Also, when approaching my home I knew that I had to hang up if I was on the phone or I would lose the call.
With Cingular I get a 4-bar...
