My phone was lost or stolen a few months ago. Moto E815. Verizon didn't care. A friend just had his stolen. Can't Verizon track it with GPS and/or ESN #? They just don't seem to care. I have another Moto phone so it is no big deal. I would just like to track it down. Thank you.

Verizon doesn't care. You purchase the phone, it's YOUR responsibility to keep track of. You report the phone to VZW as lost or stolen and they'll put the ESN on a block list, preventing others from activating it.

If it's THAT big of an issue to you, you should have gotten the insurance, $50 and you have a new phone, once a police report is provived for a stolen claim.

Sorry to hear of your predicament, this is why I got the insurance on my phone, I need it for work, I wanted to ensure quick recovery of service should my phone become lost, stolen or damaged.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have a Motorola phone from before and don't need insurance. And from what I saved by NOT getting the insurance I can afford to buy my own new phone (with cash to spare). I can buy a phone I want and not something they replace it with, that may or may not be the one lost or stolen or may be reconditioned. Insurance, NO THANK YOU. I never get the insurance and I have saved money. As far as not having use of a phone, I didn't. As soon as I new mine was stolen, I called Verizon and they activated my Motorola phone I used before. I was back up in minutes.
