I'm a VZW employee and have been told by management "don't do it" VZW tracks the esns and it's a fireable offense. Any fellow VZW people selling your old phones (previously activated on your employee acct) on ebay or anyone know of people getting confronted or fired over this?

From what I've been told is that these serial numbers are monitored for the first few months to ensure employees aren't signing up for the promo and then two weeks later selling the phone at an inflated price. Since the only way you can do an esn change as an employee is by emailing the esn change form to employee accounts, it's very easy to track and I'm sure if you were in violation of policy they would have informed you by now. Yup, this is accurate. You can sell your phones if you want, they are YOURS. I do it all the time when I am available to upgrade....no sense in me keeping it if I can sell it at a discounted price to someone who needs a replacement phone, but, doesn't have $200-300 to spend on it. However, the company looks down upon it when you get a special promo for working there and immediately sale it.
