Got back from a Vendor Expo

Last night, I had a chance to visit a Vendor Expo in MD and I had some time with each phone.

The LG 8300 seems like the better half as for features and looks. Although VZW will be making the color a "gunmetal" grey like the 9800, I preferr the black.

The 5300 looks very much like a Cingular phone (atleast that was my first impression). A bit sleeker, not too much smaller. I liked this one, so long as VZW doesnt screw with the phones color.

The 3400 was tight. Very small, reminded me of the one of TMobiles Moto phones (cant recall the model at this time). Nice outside LCD, just like the 4400.

The rep also spoke about the new version of the 9800. She didnt have a demo there, but she went on to explain it will be a lot thinner, hidd...

I'm waiting for the new V! I love the design of the V, but It's too bulky...I wish it was more like the nokia 9300 for cingy...guess its back to the waiting game...

Yeah, from what she said, it will end up being alot like the 8300 in style. I was kind of disapointed by not seeing one, but so is the way of the game.

On an interesting note, the flash stuff was pretty cool. I hope VZW will provide a way to customize the skins - ie, downloading new ones via GIN.

They even give you a choice of colors for the infamous bars... hahaha.

Neat! Let us know if you hear more about it!

The model number is VX-9900, BTW. No surprise, but it's official since it was approved by the FCC yesterday. Not much info in the FCC docs except a photo of the back, which looks almost exactly like the 9800.
