Hopefully, someone can help me understand Verizon's NE2 program. My company has an agreement w/Verizon for both corporate and personal accounts. There was a $100 allowance for new phones under NE2. I recently received my bill $230.56. I was charged $123.08 for two Motorola e815s. If there was a $100 allowance, why was I charged full price? I realize the phones are discounted and the sales tax is my responsibility, but where did the $100 allowance go? I've talked to several people at Verizon's customer service, but they won't budge. Any insight anyone, especially VZW reps can give will be appreciated.

Currently the phones are are 99.99 with a new activation. This is the same price you pay for NE2 credit so
99.99
+99.99
_______
199.98
+Tax 11.99 (6%in PA)
_____________
TOTAL 211.97
- $100.00
___________
111.97
Actually maybe in your state tax on wireless is higher but it does appear you received a $100 credit
You should also have received 2 $50 mail in rebates
YOU WERE NOT CHARGED FULL PRICE!

It's very aggrevating when sales people don't explain that the price of the phone listed on the price strip is "after" the rebate.

It usually says that on the tag.

Yeah, most people don't read the fine print. I usually tell people so they don't come back angry, but if he didn't tell you about it, it's no fault of his.

This still doesn't make sense. When I upgraded last year, I got the NE2 discount OFF the 2-year activation price. I paid $0 for my E-815, it was $150 with 2-year activation (new plan or upgrade), I got a $50 rebate and the $100 NE2 credit.
If the phone was $100 after rebates (for a 2-year activation), the cost should have been $0, as in my case.

I think I was supposed to get one phone free as I am on the Family Plan. The phones were $50 each, but I think I am entitled to the credit for one account only. Plus I got a weird overage as I upgraded from the 400 minute to the 700 minute family plan. They prorated the minutes for a mid-cycle change, and I think this is what caused me to run over on my minutes. Verizon doesn't seem to really want to resolve this, so I'll probably just suck it up. However, on my next renewal, I'll ask for the costs in advance and not just assume that the phones are free. Thank you for your help!

You are absoultely correct the cost of 1 815 is 99.99 -100NE2= 0$
The 2nd phone is 99.99+tax
ONLY THE PRIMARY LINE ON ANY ACCOUNT IS ENTITLED TO THE NE2 Prior to the multitier NE2 they do now you had to be on a priceplan of 34.99 or higher to receive a NE2 Secoundary lines are ONLY 9.99 so THEY DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE DISCOUNT ex: 69.99 FS is actually 60.00 for the first line and 9.99 for the 2nd line. HE PURCHASED TWO PHONES ONLY 1 GETS THE NE2 credit.I hope this helps to clear this up

Thank you all for the quick replies! This does shed some light on the situation. One rep did suggest that there might be a mail-in rebate (I didn't see any included with the paperwork). I'll check back with them to see if they can mail them to me if I am eligible. In any case, they're awesome phones (e815s) and I did sell one of my old 670s on Ebay, so I guess I'm not out that much money either way.

i am a verizon rep and if you are under a family plan or business account...only the MAIN LINE on the account is eligble for new every two 100.00 promotion. the extra (other) lines on the account are only avaliable for a cheaper price (2 year contract or 1 year contract price)
...
take the phones back... 😲
...
No need for that. It's still worth it to get new equipment. I still think I'm supposed to get $50 back. Will follow up with Verizon.
...
yea i know most folks in my area get ne2 off of the after rebate price and still get the mail in.
i.e. $150.00 for the lg 8100 - $100.00 ne2 - pay $50.00 and get a $50 mail-in rebate = free upgrade.
so yea you wanna check that with vzw.
