Phone delivery dates to stores.
I have been looking at the Q as a way to carry only one device instead of a PDA and a phone.
I was in the local VZW store and was asking about buying one when they came out. The manager said "we don't know when we will get them, but we would rather you buy here than on line and we will call you when we get them".
So my question is this, do the stores get the phones early and hold them until release date or do they just get them whenever.
I wouldn't mind helping out the local store and give them some business if they will have the phones a couple of days after they go on sale on line but I don't want to wait two or three weeks for them to get them.
It would seem that they would get the phones at least a couple of days early to...

yeah the phones may already be at the store. I got to play with one a couple of months ago when I spoke with our south area moto rep. I think your patience will be rewarded. Oh and by the way. nobody gets commission when you purchase online so help a brotha out and buy the phone in the store.

that what i was wanting to do, especially since this store has just opened and still has construction blocking the parking and entrance. They have no customers right now.
I just wanted to make sure that they "have them in hand" already or "would have them in hand" on the 5th. We sometimes get the shaft here in Hawaii due to shipping.
