Hey guys -

Well after a long drawn out battle and some string pulling, I got my store to sell me a 8300 on a 2 year upgrade today. They still had 120 8100's and did not want to part with 8300's yet.. But they did 🙂

Okay so let's first keep in mind , I did extensive testing on the 8100 and 950 and the 930 a few weeks ago and the Q as of yesterday..

So the first thing we always test is Voice Quality - This is most important to us.. I am very pleased to announce that LG has done something new and this seems to be great.. Almost every Import phone has what we call Deaf Ear Syndrome. What that means is that you do not hear what you are saying back in your own ear. They are designed this way to avoid feedback and noise. Our home phones ...

Wow! Thanks for the informative post. Can't wait to go and check them out. Looking forward to more info from you on signal strength, too. How much would one cost with $100 of NE2 available to me? (I know you mentioned something about price in your review but I didn't exactly follow what you were getting at...)

It's pretty good. A very nice change. You can either have the regular "red bar" UI, but make the bars any color you want, or there's two animated ones (pulse and silver spin) that are animated and completely change the look all together. Pretty nice.

That's weird. The specs say the phone speakerphone is Full Duplex (can work with phone closed). This is one of the main features I was hoping for. ☚ī¸
What's the point of a speaker phone if you have to open the flip!!?? 😈 🙄
Rest of phone still sounds good from your review.

Thanks.

I thought full duplex meant that it would perform two-way transmission. Meaning that you could both listen and speak at same time. Older style half duplex speaker phones would only allow you to listen to the call.

Oops, you're right. I got confused with the buzz going around that the speaker worked with it closed on the forums. I wish they would make a flip that worked that way....! Anyway I'll still get the 8300..it sounds like the best one coming out. If my stores would only get it here in NY. If anyone get it in NYC let me know!! 😁

Thanks.

They actually do make a flip (a couple) that work that way, but the 8300 is amazing even without that (I have to admit, though, that I don't use speakerphone, so I could care less).
