NE2 vs merits program.
Can anyone explain the difference between the new every two program and the Merits program?

NE2 is for people on plans of 34.99 or higher it is up to 100$ off the price of a phone if eligable, starting in like late late 07 it will change to a teired strucutre where as 34.99-79.98 is 50$ off and 79.99+ is 100 off. this wont affect anyone untill almost 2008 tho.
Merits is on a plan of 79.99 or higher it allows for you to early upgrade, every 12 months get a phone at promo pricing (no ne2) with a new 2 year agreement. also provides 25% off accessories and other things. see http://www.verizonwireless.com/merits for more info.

oh and for share plans. secondarys are not eligable for either as they are technically 9.99 price plans. primary could be tho.
