SMS 2000?

I'm thinking about going with the Motorola Q and saw reference in the forum to making sure to add "SMS 2000" as a no cost feature on your plan.

Can someone explain what this is? If I have this do I still need to add a text message option?

this is only if you are going to be connect your q directly to microsoft exchange server.
