I finally killed it... eulogy for my T720c
My T720 finally died yesterday. I had been using my Timeport over the weekend, just for laughs, and when I switched it back to the 720, it powered on, the screen started acting really wierd, then it shut off, never to reawaken. New battery didn't help, but it's not a big deal. I'll ship it off to Motorola this afternoon. It's not like I don't have a pile of abandoned phones sitting on my desk anyway. There's a relatively new VX6000 in there, maybe I'll give that a whirl.
I know many of you hated that T720, but mine worked flawlessly from Day 1 until yesterday. I updated the firmware twice, and changed the front LCD cover once because I accidently smashed it on the corner of a desk. It was a good phone. I sent countless text message...

Yes there was some issues with the first run of these phones when dealing with the battery & screens. Anything else, however, I would take with a grain of salt.
I would have to say, proportionately speaking, this phone has as many complaints as any other phone. Why do I say that?
This was the first popular color-phone with GIN features. Everybody and their DOG is buying this phone when it came out. Again, proportionaley speaking, there are as many complaints about this phone as any other phone, just more people happen to have this handset. Think about it, its not entirely out of the question...
