Any inputs on which way I should go?

I really want to know how the internet works on the Q...is it just like looking at the net while on your PC?

God, I am getting really sick of these kinds of threads...if you want real input...THEN TELL US HOW YOU ARE GOING TO USE THE PHONE!!! These two phones are totally different animals. One is a smart phone, while the other is more of a multimedia phone. If you want good feedback ask a detailed question and give us some insight into how you typically use a phone...then we can provide you with valuable feedback...so take the advice I have given you, tell us what you intend on doing with the phone, then I'm we can provide you with a solution.

Chris

By the way, the internet is pretty solid on the Q, I played with it at the Corporate store when I bought my 8300 (which is a great phone)

well i plan on using the internet a lot for various personal and business reasons

I also travel for business sometimes so i know the outlook would be great, but not saying it is that important

Let's say i want to check my fantasy sports will i be able to do that on the 8300?

I was screwing around with a co-worker's Treo from verizon and it seems awesome with windows OS and the internet seemed awesome it worked great when using internet explorer

It sounds like the internet is probably the most important thing for you at this point. If this is true, then I think the Q or the XV6700 would be your best bet. Check the revies on the Q from this site, I'm not really sure what people are saying about it so far. The Q forum and revies will be a great resource for you.

sort of, on a smaller screen if you shift it to the one column view its pretty good actually and you can see full websites with minimal issues. sometimes the screen size will create issue with rendering the website but its usually still very readable and enjoyable.

at the same time if you do not want a pda im very high on the 8300 and ill get mine today according to fed ex.

I like both tho so go into a store and play with both see which you like and roll with it, keep in mind you have 15 day WFG to return the phone if not satisifed and get the other one.

I have both and absolutelu love both. The Q is great for internet, email, and customization with extra software. The 8300 is amazing for pix, music, and Vcast. It all depends on what your primary use for the phone is going to be. You won't go wrong with either.

By the way, I posted these messages from my Q. That is how good the internet is on it!

Couldn't tell you. The only email I use on it is POP3 and that cannot be done via push. I would assume pull, but the treo 700w is push.

I just read on cnet.com (on my Q, of course) that the Q does have direct push email. Check it out in the cnet review of the Motorola Q.
