Dropped calls??

At many points at my house in Bellevue, a half mile from Microsoft, I have been having problems.

My calls drop a lot...sometimes even every 5 minutes or so. Really hard to talk to my boyfriend for an hour when it does that.

I was going to ask if having a lot of computers on could affect that, but my boyfriend had the same thing happen this morning.

He gets a call from his customer, he sells Verizon.

"Do you have my car chrager?"

"Not yet but I have.." Phone goes quiet. "Your number."

He looks on the screen to read "Call Lost" and tries to call her back.

She thinks he hung up on her and refuses to answer her phone.

So, me and Will aren't the only ones with issues in my house in the middle of the fricken city.

BTW, anyone else have a dropped call?

When was the last time it happened?

Were you out of service, and for how long?

Where you at?

What phone you got?

Me and my boyfriend have E815's and he hacked his to get "better" reception.

Will has a new LG...not sure what model.

After reviewing your previous posts It appears that you are a member of the Cingular fan club. Which is fine i could care less but instead of spending hours on the internet bashing everything about Vzw JUST PAY THE DAMN ETF AND LEAVE

It has been doing better on my phone, reception wise...at the cost of the abiity to use V-Cast that well.

I'll ride it out to see if this improves.

(I'm not really a fan of any carrier, I hate them all for different reasons. I just have to find a new reason to hate Cingular, since my hate was dropped calls...which doesn't seem to happen anymore with them.)

Each carrier has its positive and negatives, if I don't upgrade to the V3m black or V3 black on Verizon...Id prolly look into the V3 blue on Cingular, just so I can find the reason to hate them again..lol

Cingular stills has dropped calls. Cingular and Verizon were extremely minimal with the difference for the dropped calls. Cingulars' failure rate of even connecting the calls were a little more then Verizon Wireless. The overall call quality was much better on the Verizon Wireless. If Cingular sees that a call is weak and might drop...they won't even let the call connect at all.

All carriers drop calls. No carrier can/will guarantee your phone will work inside a structure. It does not have anything to do with carrier shortcomings. It has more to do with the construction of the building and reflection of a cell signal off that building.

get real, I'm in the same area used verizon for ten years, maybe a call lost once a year, maybe. You hacked the e815 for better reception..pttt stay off hofo if you don't know what you are doing. The e815 has great RF there wasn't a need to do anything.

If you're have coverage issues specifically at your home, them you do have a coverage issue that is carrier based. Even the best carrier in their best market will have a whole somewhere. So, specific to your home, call Verizon tech support and report the issue.

If, however, you have issues everywhere you go. It's the phone(s). The worst carrier in the worst market would still have at least a fairly high success rate in call completion (unless you live in Loving County, TX - POP 62...then no one will get it...).

It is the immutable law of cellular. One spot - Carrier. Lots of spots - Equipment.

So you answer and course of action depends on your answer to that question.
