mobiledia.com predictions on the Samsung A990, accurate?

Does anyone know how accurate mobiledia is with their predictions on new phone releases? (http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/date/q3-2006 .html). I'm really interested in the Samsung A990, which they predict coming out in Q3 for Verizon. I'm will to wait until September for it… but if it's not going to come out by then, I'd probably just get a different phone now.

On the Cingular side they are VERY accurate. Now, Vzw -from what I hear from you guys in here- likes to delay releases, so I wouldn't know for sure.

I believe in one of your earlier posts you stated it would be out on June 5th. Why should anyone have to buy from another channel? Oh I forgot we are talking about Cingular....They don't have any channels for communication. Maybe in October they will. 🤣

yeah, like their "dropped calls" ad campaign. Of course it you don't let the call complete in the first place then it is less likely to drop!

Huh? Well, plp could buy the V3i from ebay since last year. We are more flexible and actually ALLOW (does vzw ALLOW you to do anything?) customers to get unlocked phones from different channels and put their SIM cards in those phones for them to use. Unlike you who HAS to purchase a phone only from Vzw. Me, I could buy and brand new spanking phone from the UK (unlocked) put my SIM and done! Can you do that?
What's up with the October date? Do you even know what is going to happen in Oct? 🤣 If you do, you can bet your a*** that it will be massive!

now now anx you know CDMA doesnt use SIM cards so it would be hard for me to just pop a SIM in and roll. you dont have to get a phone from verizon it just has to be a verizon phone you can get it on ebay, from some dude on the street, in the ally, from the manufacturer, etc.

We could technically activate a sprint phone on our network but as we know sprint sucks and we wouldnt want people rolling around with their logo on the phone people will be like damn thats a sprint phone the network is so RELIABLE i didnt know sprint didnt suck anymore and it could cause confusion 🤣

Just wanted to point out that you could do that but US GSM is on 850/1900 MHZ and Euro(etc) GSM is 900/1800 MHZ. Thought I would share.
