Best phones for reception in marginal signal area

I live in a rural area with spotty reception in places. We now have a Motorola V 265 and a Samsung a650, which give us adequate reception. Yesterday I dropped the Motorola in a parking lot and it got run over, so I need a new phone. I require only basic service features. Any advice on which Verizon phones have the best reception in rural marginal reception areas?

yeah but for a comparible price you can get the 815, the 8300 or the 950....I would go with the 815 just because of the RF. Especially if all the bells and whistles don't matter to you. I hate the UI on the 815.

I would normally go with the motorola over the lg when it comes to reception, but my friend has the 815 and i have the 8300 and we seem identical in teh way we get reception. Personally, since its the same price, i just think you have a toss up on your hands.
