Ok so i have the Lg VX8300 today I downloaded VZ Navigator and took it out for a spin. On my lunch hour I used it to get me to the gas station which was about 5 miles away, I didnt know the address of the gas station or even which company it was but using the vz navigator Search for Gas stations based off "My GPS Location" (no imput was nescessary) it found the one I was thinking of. Then with just a touch of the OK key i was getting smart audible turn by turn directions to the gas station with very nice on screen mapping updated every second showing the roads and how i was moving.

It was very nice took me right to the spot. Then for a bigger test I let it guide me home after i got off work. Put in my address and even spelled it wrong! ...

lol. I just wish they made the voices better. Sounds like you are in school. They could make the voice more kinky.... you could go where you need to and have more fun while you get there. lol. 😎

Does it work with a BT headset? As in will it "whisper" the directions to you via the headset? Not a big deal but thought it would be handy at some point.

I just want to add that Vznav is currently free for the 1st 30 days! I gave it a spin this weekend when we traveled from my home to a town about 230 miles away IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY this program is awesome! I really don't have a need for a monthly subscription but believe that when I need it I will use it for the daily option of 2.99
just my 2 cents

I'm in the process of switching to Verizon and probably going for the Lg 8300. Can you tell me do you see the map on the outside of the screen? Is the phone using battery time the entire time you are travelling? Sorry if these are stupid questions--I am just unsure of how this feature works.

On the outside screen? like the little one? i doubt it but to be honest i didnt look i had the phone flipped open the whole time.

as for battery life it would be using some battery power the whole time but it didnt seem to be bad and if its a long trip their is vehicle power chargers
