Got the Moto 325 and it sucks
I got the Motorola v325 over the weekend, and it is not a very good phone. I had read the reviews and asked here in the forum and it seemed to be a good phone. The reception was very poor. Has Motorola gone downhill? So it is going back. I guess I will wait until some new phones come out. I just need a phone with excellent reception. I dont care about the camera, bluetooth etc. I guess that is why Verizon is giving the buy a phone get up to 3 moto 325 free....they want to get rid of the pieces O' ****e!

It certainly could just be me; however, I have seen recent customer reviews that say that the phone does not have the best reception along with the freezing up problems and charger problems and not to mention poor battery life.

I'd have to disagree with everything negative you said..at least with my experience with the phone. It had awesome reception and good battery life. I would take it back and try a new one. I give it an A in my book.

I just switched to the v325 last Friday and today I gave it a test in a very deep fringe area.
It provided better signal recption and transmission than any other phone I've used, including my wife's E-815.
My only complaint is the VZW interface has such small type, but that is a new VZW issue, not a v325 problem.
So, something's up. The phone has better RF than most others. I'd guess it's not the v325 that's the problem, but the specific phone you got.

what other phones have you used? just want to know what to compare it with. I said before it could just be the phone that I got and not the model in general. Anyone know anything about the problems that have been reported about this phone? Also how is the battery life? Thank you.

Battery life- they all are mediocre until you've cycled the battery about 4 times.
The E-815 slim battery is 1030 mah vs most others are around 800.

did you say these phones were all digital or just digital. The only two phones in your list that are all digital is the e-815/sama670. Never heard of the 820...

That's probably because you're not old enough!!!
My point was because I have another list of all the 'pre digital era' phones that I have used,
back to the GE Star.
By the way, my SCH-A650 is all digital.- I went into the field service menu and forced
"3G-CDMA" which locks out analog🙂
The v325 has better coverage than the Sammy and the E-815 seems real close.

sounds like a winner. Now, if ony I could see less of "unauthorized charger", dust in the screen, and slow menus. Sometimes so slow it just locks or freezes up...

I would consider a very polite letter to Motorola complaining about these issues and asking for some resolution from THEM.
I really like the phone, but Geez, the type is 1/3 the size of the type on my wife's old T730 that is actually easy to read.
Seems like some immature 20 year old came up with their interface! (An intelligent 20 year old would have made the type bigger to sell more phones and make it readable when you're , cough , driving.

The lg 8300 has an option to select Normal or Large fonts, my is set to Large. I also have the option to set my clock to digital which make the clock very BIG and easy to read too 🙂

BTW, I found a place that had factory motorola accessories (holsters, chargers, etc) real reasonable. (zwireless) and they tood the order and I had it the next day, vis USPS.

Well on the LG 8300 its under 'display setting' i don't think the 325 has that option hope I didn't confuse you with my post, I just wanted to let you know that chances are your next phone will have that option because the LG 8300 does. I see you have never had an LG phone is there any particular reason? I remember my old LG 4400 even had that option of Large font setting so the option has been around for awhile. Glad you are enjoying your 325.
